IAS will act as a global forum for the exchange of information about Insecta Hemiptera Auchenorrhyncha and will facilitate activities in support of its objectives. IAS has the objectives:
1) To promote scientific fundamental and applied biological research on extant and extinct insects of the Hemiptera Auchenorrhyncha particularly in Systematics, Biogeography and Etho-Ecology;
2) To promote access to any kind of information about Auchenorrhyncha including the collections and through databases, publication and educational activities;
Article 1 â Name and registered office
This organisation is named the âInternational Auchenorrhyncha Societyâ, with the acronym IAS.
The Association is founded according to French laws as an association of the type âLoi du 1er juillet 1901 et le DĂ©cret du 16 aoĂ»t 1901â and is based in France.
Its current address is: MusĂ©um national d'Histoire Naturelle, CP50, 57 rue Cuvier, Fâ75005 Paris, France.
The registered office can be transferred anywhere upon decision of the Board of Administrators (BoA).
